From October 13th to 17th, 2025, the 2025 World Federation of Engineering Organizations General Assembly and Global Engineering Conference, jointly organized by the World Federation of Engineering Organizations, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, was grandly held at the Shanghai World Expo Center. This conference, with the theme of Engineering Shaping a Green Future, aims to build a bridge for in-depth exchanges and cooperation among the international engineering community, gather the strength of the global engineering community, and inject impetus from the engineering field into accelerating the realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Wang Xiuhong, the Party Secretary of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Control Engineering, MAO Xinrong, the Deputy Party Secretary, Wu Di, the Vice Dean, and representatives of teachers and students came to the Shanghai World Expo Center to participate in this conference together. They then went to various volunteer service points in turn, had cordial exchanges with the volunteers, and highly affirmed the volunteers' energetic spirit and professional service attitude. At the same time, the volunteers were encouraged to cherish this service experience and present the youthful charm of the students of Zhikong in the best condition.

To prepare for this conference, the volunteer team dispatched by the Intelligent Control College received systematic pre-job training organized by the conference organizing committee. The training content covered the background of the conference, the agenda process, international etiquette and emergency response, etc., enabling every volunteer to deeply understand the significant meaning of global engineering cooperation and strengthen the sense of responsibility of serving the world and promoting development together. Volunteers were precisely assigned to core service positions and shone brightly in their respective jobs.
