To help the new postgraduate students of the class of 2025 integrate into academic life more quickly and clarify their growth directions, on the afternoon of September 8, 2025, the meeting between the new postgraduate students of the class of 2025 and their supervisors of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Control Engineering was held in Room 1002 of Building 29. Professor Qin Qin, the vice dean, some on-campus postgraduate supervisors (groups), off-campus postgraduate supervisors, representatives of the joint training units, postgraduate counselors and all the new postgraduate students of the 2025 grade attended the meeting together. The meeting was presided over by Professor Qin Qin.

First of all, Professor Qin Qin, on behalf of the college, extended a warm welcome to the new postgraduate students of the class of 2025. She introduced the training objectives and directions for postgraduate students in our college, as well as the learning and growth platform that the college has built for the students. She also expressed the hope that all the new students and their mentors could enhance mutual understanding through this meeting and better achieve mutual pursuit.

Subsequently, each graduate student supervisor (group) took the stage in turn to share their insights. The mentors gave a detailed introduction to the composition of the research group members, research directions, and admission requirements. At the same time, they showcased the research achievements made by the team in recent years and deeply interpreted the industrial application prospects of the related achievements, providing clear guidance for the freshmen to accurately choose their mentors and clarify their research directions.

After the meeting, the mentors and the students actively got in touch and communicated, further engaging in more in-depth and personalized exchanges and interactions on issues such as mentor selection, research topic directions, and academic planning.

This postgraduate supervisor meeting not only provided a platform for the first in-depth communication between freshmen and their supervisors, helping freshmen fully understand their supervisors' research directions and clarify their own academic positioning before the teacher-student mutual selection, but also enabled freshmen to have a clear understanding of the college's training system and academic requirements. It has laid a solid foundation for him to quickly integrate into the warm big family of the college and smoothly start his postgraduate study and research.
